Zuzanna Czebatul

Zuzanna Czebatul is a Berlin-based artist whose work investigates the complex interactions between power, ideology, and their cultural expressions. Using monumental relics, commemorative infrastructures, and architectural interventions, Czebatul explores the aesthetics of political hegemony and the hidden mechanisms shaping social realities and identities. Her practice challenges ideas of durability, creation, and stability by juxtaposing them with disintegration and fluidity, often referencing Western political narratives and their appropriation by nationalist ideologies.

Currently teaching sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts Brunswick, Czebatul has had recent solo exhibitions at Dittrich & Schlechtriem in Berlin and sans titre in Paris. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including Kunstverein Ludwigshafen, Bally Foundation in Lugano, and Middelheim Museum in Antwerp, among others.
