caner teker is a Berlin-based fighter, choreographer, and survivor whose work carries the parasitic, transformative, and autobiographical creation of worlds. Through the manipulation of space, time, and body, images emerge that reveal personal experiences beyond queerness and post-migrant identity. They studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and the SNDO - School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam, developing a practice that challenges conventional boundaries through performance and spatial intervention.
teker’s performances have been shown at Gessnerallee Zürich, Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf, as well as Julia Stoschek Collection and HAU Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin. A danceWEB scholarship recipient, they have performed at the Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater, Tanzquartier Wien, and Radikal Jung at Münchner Volkstheater. teker’s work "Kirkpinar" was purchased for the collection of the Museum Ostwall in Dortmund and awarded the Ars Viva Prize, and they were a fellow at the Tarabya Academy of Culture in Istanbul.
